Session: Workshop T: Teaching for effective learning in engineering

Gordon Stubley is a professor in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering (MME) with research and teaching interests in the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for engineering analysis and design. He has contributed to the development of solver algorithms and to the application of CFD in a wide range of engineering fields.  For over 35 years, he has taught courses in these subjects at all levels from first year to advanced graduate studies at the University of Waterloo and Harvey Mudd College. Since 2012, he has been the Engineering Associate Dean of Teaching. In this role, he promotes teaching development through a variety of activities including facilitating workshops on the implementation and use of effective teaching attitudes and strategies.
